What was once a full horse boarding facility will blossom to offer a unique family farm experience for all patrons, not just horse lovers.
Our vision for Northup Acres consists of many new ideas to give patrons a diverse array of farm lifestyle experiences when they visit our farm. As soon as summer 2022, our new farm stand will be a source for local eggs and more.
Starting in late 2022, a large event space is in the works to offer visitors a flexible space with a grassy full-sun field that presents countless opportunities to bring people together. We have ideas for birthday party rentals, family reunions and outdoor farmer´s markets just to name a few.
With this major improvement, our riding arena will be relocated to offer a smaller, but more private area where patrons can safely learn horseback riding from our instructors. Adjacent to our new driveway, the new ring offers plenty of shaded viewing and quick and easy access.
If we plan to offer horseback riding once more, our barn and outbuildings are going to need to much needed TLC. Maximizing efficiency while consolidating space, a major barn renovation will allow us to redesign the adjoining paddocks with easily accessible pasture and corrals so that we can once more be a full and vibrant home for many horses for decades to come.
Lastly, we have had so much support in our garden idea. We hope to offer local patrons an opportunity to share their love for all things gardening and call a piece of our property their own during the growing season! A community garden full of individual raised planter boxes that can grow to offer classes, events and co-op programs, we hope to offer this garden project to the public in early spring 2023.
As you can tell, we have a lot of ideas on how to better use our property to offer locals an experience worth coming back for! With every idea, comes the daunting task of planning, preparation and prioritization, but stick with us...this flower will one day blossom!
